New Fires from Stovax’s Luxury Brand Onyx
Two years ago, the Stovax Group premiered their new luxury brand, Onyx, we here at Zigi’s were impressed and we’re a fussy lot when it comes to our fires and fireplaces. The Avanti showed us just how far electric fires have come from the days of the old three-bar fires. The Avanti is fully remote controlled and features so many customisation options from flame and fuel bed colours to adjustable downlighting and more.
The remote is also thermostatic, giving you control over when the fan heater kicks in. In addition to these features, there are many ways it can be installed, be it in a freestanding suite, hole-in-the-wall, or in a media suite with a television above, there’s plenty of room for you to exercise your creativity. We love the Avanti and the Onyx concept as a whole which is probably why we’ve been installing them time and again in homes across East Anglia these past two years.
Onyx is getting ready to do it again later this year with new, even better flame effects for their Pulse and Fusion models. We’ve had a sneak peek at these new fires, and we know you will be as impressed as we were. The Pulse and the Fusion have the features of their cousin, the Avanti, in that they are fully customisable and have a wide array of fitting options.
The new Pulse VeriFlame effect has a subtle, alluring look as the flames dance around the glowing, realistic charred timber fuel bed with multiple pre-set flame designs, as standard. The Fusion takes a different approach utilising an LCD screen behind the fuel bed to display real, flickering flames with a range of colours and styles of flame available. Both these fires are fully controllable by the standard thermostatic remote or, for ultimate convenience, download the Onyx app to your Android or iOS device.
In addition to the new Pulse and Fusion, Onyx will release the new Avanti and Eclipse gas fires. Both fires allow installation into conventional chimneys, allowing us to use a customer’s existing chimney to give their room a radical new look. The Avanti shares its electric cousin’s letterbox ratio and can be installed with the Edge+ frame for a clean, minimalist look or the bolder Expression frame for a contemporary feel. The Eclipse is a versatile choice of fire, suitable for both modern and traditional homes and installations. The ability to be hearth mounted allows for installation with a stone mantel or existing fireplace feature. Alternatively, we can install it as a hole-in-the-wall with the clean lines of the Edge+ frame.
Along with these exciting new lines, we still carry the Orbit, the Avanti and the Liv 3 (see the Orbit in our Chelmsford, Cambridge and Norwich showrooms). We’re excited by the new arrivals and we will be sure to let you know when they are on display for you to see.
Thanks for reading and get in touch if you have questions about the Onyx range or any other fires we have in our fireplace shops in Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge.
